How to Store Eggs


When we buy eggs in a noisy traders rarely get old eggs or damaged, because the stock runs out quickly and replaced a new one. Unlike when we bought from traders who are relatively quiet, we must carefully select egg. Here is several ways to choose and store eggs that we can make the guidelines. Fresh eggs have a good viscosity, so that the yolk is located at middle. More and more dilute solution therein so that the yolk shifts to the edge. In addition, the air sacs at the end of the egg is relatively small rounded than fresh eggs, about 1.5 cm in diameter.

2. Eggs soaked in fresh water or saline solution 10% (1 teaspoon salt in 2 cups water),
- If the egg sinks, indicating it is fresh
- If a little floating, it means that the air bag at the end of the egg enlarges and indicates the long egg
- If the eggs float in the solution, it means the egg is broken
3. Observation of the external skin:
- Eggs are still fresh bright skin color
- Eggs that had been usually have dull skin color / cloudy, also arising from dark spots caused by fungal growth.

We often buy eggs in bulk and we save it for the preparation when at any time needed. Stages in preparation for egg storage, can guided as follows:


1. Before storage, the eggs need to be washed first to remove dirt which usually are of the cage. Eggs should be soaked first, dirt so easily separated. Washing / scrubbing of excessive resulted in eggshell thinning and break easily. in addition, also causes dilation of the pores of the egg, so the absolute bacterial entry and damage the eggs.

4. Furthermore, the eggs are ready is stored in the refrigerator, preferably on temperature of 0 degrees Celsius so that eggs can remain fresh for a long time.
